Mrs. Grahame's Silver Embroidered Shoe – Sequins, Beads & Lace | Victorian Ceramic Tondi | Unique Collectible Ornament
She had a name, a buckle of paste or silver, and a shoe in admirable taste. Meet Mrs. Grahame.
This pale blue-green satin beauty, with a central tongue and two overlapping flaps, dates to the early part of the nineteenth century. Victorian collector T.W. Greig documented her shoe with something close to reverence: silver embroidery in thread, tiny sequins, beads, and lace. The whole workmanship, he wrote, is of the best order. Nearly two centuries later, it still is.
Now preserved in gleaming ceramic, this nearly 3” tondi brings Mrs. Grahame’s elegant slipper into your home — ready to grace a Christmas tree, charm a mantel, or quietly upstage everything else in the room.
✨ Part of The Last & Slipper collection from Tondo Designs, these small ceramic keepsakes carry the spirit of vintage art into your everyday spaces. One is splendid, but imagine the whole collection sparkling together.
